The Royal Thai Government provided Iran with humanitarian and relief aid following the recent 7.3 magnitude earthquake in Kermanshah.

On 26 November 2017, following the recent earthquake in Kermanshah, the Royal Thai Government instructed H.E. Mr. Kallayana Vipattipumiprates, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, to present a cheque of 2,137,177,680 rials to Mr. Mahdi Alipour, Treasurer General of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, as a goodwill humanitarian assistance towards the victims.  This came after H.E. the Prime Minister and H.E. the Minister of Foreign Affairs of  the Kingdom of Thailand sent their condolence messages to H.E. the President and H.E. the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, respectively.
