TEHRAN, Dec. 04 – The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) would held the 31th International Islamic Unity Conference on 5-7 Dec. in Iranian capital.

The aim of the conference is to lay the ground for unity and solidarity in the Islamic World and unison among scholars in order to achieve proximity among their scientific and cultural viewpoints in terms of fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Usul (principles of jurisprudence), Kaläm (Islamic theology), and interpretation as well as to examine the Muslims’ problems, provide appropriate solutions to them, and take a joint stance against them.

 

 

Over 500 participants from all over the world would took part at the event, which is held annually on the occasion of “Islamic Unity Week”.

Prominent figures and Islamic scholars would address the event including President and Secretary General of the Forum Hassan Rouhani, former Iraqi PM Nouri al-Maliki, Chairman of Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Ammar Hakim, Grand mufti of Syria Ahmad Badroddin Hasoon and Senegalese Minister for Family and Women Affairs Amsatou Sow Sidibe.
